I keep seeing all these Obama supporters and wonder why? They seem to be against being a conservative and I wonder why? What really is Obama doing for this country?

This is what I see:

• Debt being ran up at an staggering rate
• Money wasted on programs that are worthless
• Dems working on their own agenda, spite what Americans think
• Socialism in government having monetary interest in companies
• Health care regulation that makes no sense in our current state
• A never ending war still being fought
• Unemployment still a problem
• Dems pushing policy while chuckling at the Constitution

Then to beat it all, these same supporters of Obama still blame Bush for our current state.

Please, someone enlighten me as to what is so great about our president???

I was talking with someone the other day and the only issue we seemed to agree on is the fact that the health care system is broke.

I am a firm believer in capitalism! No matter how painful this may be to some, I believe that we can fix the problem with health care and keep capitalism in mind. When I think about the way the bill is headed, I think socialism! Why do we all feel as if we have an entitlement to something? Really, the only true thing that can be said about life is the fact that will will indeed live and die at some point. Now I do have no issue with helping those in need.

Let’s take a look what may happen if this bill in current form passes:

1. Cost to small companies in America are going to rise causing a painful chain reaction
2. Large companies are going to lose large sums of money if we assume this system will be based off a percentage (let’s take a measly 5% increase in tax, 5% of a billion dollar company is a lot of money)
3. Because companies are forced to pay a higher tax rate, hours will be cut and those whom do have insurance now may be dropped to hours that may no longer require the company to pay for insurance (like blue cross blue shield etc..)
4. Insurance companies may not be able to compete, kills free market

Some other things that be a direct result of the bill are things like assisted suicide. Imagine being diagnosed with a terminal illness and going to your doctor only to be told that in the name of being patriotic and saving Americans money that you should check into an assisted suicide program, may seem far fetched but I would not put it past our government.

I do notice there are some people whom like the idea of this bill. I would like to ask those people if they will still like it when millions of people lose their jobs? Or when we run the deficit up even higher if they feel the same? As said many times on this site, the government has no clue on how to run a successful program.

Wake up people, this is not a save all this is a beginning of a new world headed by socialists!

Healthcare has been a debate that has been going on for awhile. We have this person saying “it will save money here” and this other person saying “it will cost to much”. Really, either save or cost it is a lose for the American people!

We have 2 choices in healthcare. We can either let the more wealthy support the healthcare system or we could simply let everyone pay the same amount. The latter will not work in a mandatory system because many families have a hard time just making ends meet.

I watch the debates and understand where the importance in the matter may come from, but at the same time I want a system that is fair and balanced or just forget it! I don’t think it is fair for the wealthy of this country to be strong-armed into paying for something that they may not support and or want to support.

One side of me wants to have full support for Capitalism on the matter and another says that is what we are doing and it is not working. The cost of health insurance has skyrocketed to a point that is hard for many to afford, if they do afford the insurance the deductible is so high that it is almost impossible to pay. What gives?

What can we do as Americans to fix the problem? It all comes down to the almighty dollar no matter how the system is ran. This is not for the best interest of you or me, It is for the bottom line!

What do we the people do?

Every time I go to a forum and make a post about Americans getting up and doing something about this nation I get no replies. Why is this? It is ok to answer that thread asking if political leader X is going to cause the meltdown of America, yet not ok to get up and do something about political leader X?

What is wrong with this picture? Do we all somehow feel like our founders won America and the work is done? Do we really put so much trust in our political leaders that we have become mindless?

The problem is everyone needs a leader! No one has the guts to get up and stand for what they believe anymore. We want a life on cruise control and let the political parties do the worrying for us. This truly is a problem!

This mentality bugs me! I have said over and over that I don’t understand how people can complain, yet do nothing! We want to bitch, moan, complain and make all kinds of opinions fly around, yet tell a group of people to do something and we don’t want that responsibility! SHUT UP AMERICA! If you don’t want to do anything then shut up! I am sick and tired of hearing people whine and they do nothing! Get some guts people! Get a clue!

Our founders built us a foundation, the house need maintenance to remain stable! Let’s get to work and repair this old house before it is demolished!

Only people like you and me can get this country back! Let’s as the South would say… Git er done!

Dear Complainer,

I see you are one who likes to speak about the troubles in America, but do nothing. You like to talk about what could be different in Washington, but do nothing. You might very well hate what is happening in America, yet you choose to do nothing.

Mr/Mrs Complainer, you bother me!

You long for change, yet flap your gums! You can’t stand people who disagree with you and will argue your pointless thoughts to death. You are a pointless waste of air that will never act! You are a social engine that likes to start something yet never finish it.

American Complainer, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

Alarm goes off, hit snooze… Alarm goes off again and with a grunt turn it off and start your morning. Head to the shower or grab a cup of coffee and grab the paper, read it and shake your head in shame. Start the car, drive to work and do the same thing you do everyday. Come home get on the computer or watch some television for a time, fix supper and clean up. Throw in a load of wash as you think about work. Pay some bills then off to bed to rinse and repeat!

This is what the Government wants! You, the American robot! You don’t have an opinion because you have become so engrossed in your own agenda that you don’t have time to have one. You are what keeps America going! You have no voice! You are a walking repeat of yesterday! Although you may find yourself sometimes questioning our political leaders, you have no time to act! You are concerned about your future, you are so self centered in your own agenda that outside life just passes you by without much thought.

You have saving accounts, checking, stocks, bonds, 401k and all kinds of little tax write offs that make you feel good. You own a home! The crash of the housing market has not really effected you because you have planned for such a problem. You deserve a pat on the back! You are a TRUE American! You are the cats meow!

What ever happened to it? Where did personal responsibility go in this country?

Have you noticed that nothing is your fault anymore? There are some exceptions you can point out, but hear me out.

You can get drunk at a bar, run over someone on your way home, then sue the bartender for serving you. Is this right?

You can spill coffee on yourself and sue the people who gave it to you if it’s not labeled “Caution: Hot Liquid”. Did you order it expecting cold coffee?

If you have any issues, your can just blame your parents. Never mind the people in this world who have gone thru more hell than you think you did, that have gone on to become extraordinary and successful people.

Someone set there standards too high for you? Find a way to call it discrimination and sue them. And we let lawyers run this country?

Heaven forbid you be responsible for your actions anymore. Not now that we have Bush II to blame for everything.

Don’t worry though, the government really cares about you and won’t let anything bad happen to you. Right after they get done running for re-election.

Stop letting politicians run your life. Take it back! Why do you care what a bunch a lawyers strutting around making “laws” that punish their enemies and help themselves. They don’t do anything for you. They don’t care about us.

We need to be responsible for ourselves. Admitting your faults isn’t a weakness, it’s actually a sign of strength. If you have the courage to stand up for yourself, help us spread this accountability in this country. Especially to that little town on the Potomac. You know, the one with the statues.
