Someone please enlighten me

I keep seeing all these Obama supporters and wonder why? They seem to be against being a conservative and I wonder why? What really is Obama doing for this country?

This is what I see:

  • Debt being ran up at an staggering rate
  • Money wasted on programs that are worthless
  • Dems working on their own agenda, spite what Americans think
  • Socialism in government having monetary interest in companies
  • Health care regulation that makes no sense in our current state
  • A never ending war still being fought
  • Unemployment still a problem
  • Dems pushing policy while chuckling at the Constitution

Then to beat it all, these same supporters of Obama still blame Bush for our current state.

Please, someone enlighten me as to what is so great about our president???

Health insurance!

Healthcare has been a debate that has been going on for awhile. We have this person saying “it will save money here” and this other person saying “it will cost to much”. Really, either save or cost it is a lose for the American people!

We have 2 choices in healthcare. We can either let the more wealthy support the healthcare system or we could simply let everyone pay the same amount. The latter will not work in a mandatory system because many families have a hard time just making ends meet.

I watch the debates and understand where the importance in the matter may come from, but at the same time I want a system that is fair and balanced or just forget it! I don’t think it is fair for the wealthy of this country to be strong-armed into paying for something that they may not support and or want to support.

One side of me wants to have full support for Capitalism on the matter and another says that is what we are doing and it is not working. The cost of health insurance has skyrocketed to a point that is hard for many to afford, if they do afford the insurance the deductible is so high that it is almost impossible to pay. What gives?

What can we do as Americans to fix the problem? It all comes down to the almighty dollar no matter how the system is ran. This is not for the best interest of you or me, It is for the bottom line!

What do we the people do?

Comment away!

Dictation nation!

We as a nation need to stop this BS! I read all over the place “Do something with you time instead of_______” or “Smokers should all die” or “You need a better ________ what you got is____”! You know what? We can never fix this country when the people who live in it are guilty of the same things our government does!

I want you, the government and everyone else out of my life! Not just the government, NOPE! I want freedom, freedom to make my very own choices, freedom to make my own mistakes, freedom to live and die as I please! I don’t need anyone to point out the rights and wrongs to me! I don’t care if you like my lifestyle because it is just that…MY LIFESTYLE!

Dick Armey

I was just watching C-Span and there were talks about the stimulus and US spending in general. I was impressed with the responses to questions by Dick Armey!

There were many questions asked about spending and how to get the economy back on track. The other gentleman that was there with Dick Armey (his name was Mr. Iron) at one time said we can borrow more money and sustain on the track of more spending on the deficit to get us on track. A thing that interested me was how Mr. Iron avoided the topic of tax cuts and at times directly attacked the ideas of Dick Armey on lowing taxes to bring the economy back.

After being very impressed with how Dick Armey viewed our economical stance, I did some google searching and found Dick Armey to be a strong advocate of freedom.

I just wanted to share this information so people would know we have another voice on our side! Dick Armey is a good man and believes in freedom! He has been added and followed on my twitter and think he deserves a pat on the back!

He is also the Chairman of freedomworks.

Good news!

For those who believe in we should audit the fed (as I do).

the House Financial Services Committee earlier today rejected Representative Mel Watt’s attempt to hijack Audit the Fed by voting 43-26 to pass Ron Paul’s amendment to the financial regulatory reform bill.

We are getting closer folks! Let them voices be heard!

Good job America!

For those who need a picture!

Email I received I thought I would share:

To Congress:

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 – you’ve had 234 years to get it right; it’s broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 – you’ve had 74 years to get it right; it’s broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 – you’ve had 71 years to get it right; it’s broke.

The “War on Poverty” started in 1964 – you’ve had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor”; it hasn’t worked and our entire country is broke.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 – you’ve had 44 years to get it right; they’re both broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 – you’ve had 39 years to get it right; it’s broke.

Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the “Stimulus”, the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009…. none show any signs of working, although ACORN appears to have found a new source: the American taxpayer.

And finally, to set a new record:

“Cash for Clunkers” was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress’ generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that “services” you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

20% of our entire economy?

With all due respect,

Are you crazy?

The power to unify!

I often wonder when society will decide that we need true change. I wonder what form of change will come. How long can we sit by and watch the things going on without batting an eye?

I think that society has forgotten the power to unify that has got us through history and helped shape America into what Americans wanted. We are a product of our past and in the past we came together as a people to make change happen.

Ask yourself what part of your freedom is enough to push you over the edge? When does the war that you do not agree with come to pass and you say that’s it? What pushes your button?

Have we come to a place that is so confident in what we were that we cannot see what we have become? Are we past the point of no return?

The view of Freedom in 1948!

We lose this view?

Random thoughts about America!

We live in a nation that is consumed with the thought of money. We live in greed!

We are in a time where jobs are harder to find, the deficit is higher then ever, we have our freedoms being taken in the name of something else, we are always at war and countless other issues and not to mention the value of our dollar. What do we do?

As we move forward, how do we guarantee that there will even be a tomorrow for America? We are one of the greatest places in history to ever live, we are the founders of freedom, we are the helpers of all nations! How do we maintain down the current road we are headed and maintain a nation?

I fear one day I will wake to a war on our own soil, this time it will not be a war that was caused by our policies but a war of debt collection! How will we react?

I am very concerned for our future! I sometimes wonder if anything to try and help the people is a waste of time! We are a product of what we created! Some may argue that our Government created the problem but I would argue that we allowed it and therefor are just as guilty!

I get sick of repeating the words “wake up America” and letting it fall on def ears, I am tired of being driven by a faith and a passion for my fellow man to make things right!

I see all these other groups wanting to change America by votes, some things can indeed be done by voting but I wonder if we can fix the whole problem with votes alone? How do we take the fast track to getting America back on track?

I sometimes wonder if anyone cares? Sure we have groups and sites like this, but does anyone really care? Does anyone share in my urgency? What are we really doing to bring change? Are we really making a difference? How do we make that difference? How do we encourage the creation of jobs? How do we lower the deficit for our children? Are we going down a permanent one way street?

Until ALL Americans get passionate about the problems, until we take the reins and say enough is enough, until we get some guts, we are in all kinds of trouble!

350 million people in this country and if you put all the groups together that didn’t like the way we are headed you MIGHT have 10 million! This is sad! We have a global problem that effects every American!

I am no longer gonna nicely say “wake up America”! We need to all get up and I don’t think our problems are a matter of Americans sleeping, I think they are a matter of people getting out of the “what about me” BS and getting on with what needs to be done!

My take on insurance for the masses!

The health care debate is a good one. There are a lot of people across this country who are concerned about the future of our health care system.

Since we have been doing a lot of debating on the subject, I came up with my idea of a good solution.

Here is what I propose:

Create a new insurance entity paid for by OUR tax dollars and run by the people of this country, give the entity the power of free enterprise.

Allow said entity to create “pools” of people for a reasonable cost. Force some sort of caps on the cost this entity can charge. The propose of this entity would be to make insurance available to all!

This entity would use a sliding scale system to charge for insurance, depending on how much you make. The caps would be created to insure those who may be more wealthy do not support the whole system.

Any insurance payments made into this system are solely used for insurance, this system would be a “not for profit organization”. This system could be mandated to lower the cost of insurance across the board!

Caps can be something we debate! I was thinking along the lines of a percentage. Single person insurance could be charged at a rate of 10%, family at a rate of 20%? The caps could be introduced at a cutoff point, like if you make more then 60k a year you are still rated as a person making 60k! That would mean a person making 60k or more a year for a single person would only pay 6k a year for a single person and 12k for a family!

This is my idea of a “fair” insurance proposal that is not run by our government!
