Someone please enlighten me
I keep seeing all these Obama supporters and wonder why? They seem to be against being a conservative and I wonder why? What really is Obama doing for this country?
This is what I see:
- Debt being ran up at an staggering rate
- Money wasted on programs that are worthless
- Dems working on their own agenda, spite what Americans think
- Socialism in government having monetary interest in companies
- Health care regulation that makes no sense in our current state
- A never ending war still being fought
- Unemployment still a problem
- Dems pushing policy while chuckling at the Constitution
Then to beat it all, these same supporters of Obama still blame Bush for our current state.
Please, someone enlighten me as to what is so great about our president???
Spam
Just to clarify, while I believe in freedom of speech, I do not extend that to spam.
I guess it seems a little hypocritical, but I’m not losing sleep over it. I don’t censor actual negative feedback, just spam. Feel free to say anything you want that is actually relevent, I’ll discuss any valid topic.
Come together
I often hear of people having debates with others on America. Why is this? What really is there to debate?
The people of this country who do not see the problems are people who hold the most fear. How many people like to talk about things they fear? Some people have to be hypnotized in order to get over a big fear.
We have become so engrossed in our lives and thoughts of our own future. How do we stop this? How do we tell the people of this country that all could be fixed if we were to band together? How do we cure the mourning of the people? How do we restore America back to a place of peace and love?
I sometimes get so frustrated by the people who do not see the problem. I see the problems as just in my face with no way to miss them. Makes one wonder what society has taught people? Are we really products of our upbringing, or are we products of programming? Scary when you think about it.
Another big problem we have is the seclusion based on opinion. Really, how can anyone say “everything is okay” and we are wrong? All those who like to ignore the issues or simply just bash those who see them, pick up a paper! Walk around and see how people are concerned about the future, or health care, or retirement, or freedom.. The list could go on! We all have our concerns and may not agree on every single issue, that is fine! We are all in agreement that we should have freedom, liberty, rights, privacy and the ability to grow old without worry.
We need to find common ground! We all have our own set of issues but as a one we have the same issues.
We need to get back on track!
Get up America!
Every time I go to a forum and make a post about Americans getting up and doing something about this nation I get no replies. Why is this? It is ok to answer that thread asking if political leader X is going to cause the meltdown of America, yet not ok to get up and do something about political leader X?
What is wrong with this picture? Do we all somehow feel like our founders won America and the work is done? Do we really put so much trust in our political leaders that we have become mindless?
The problem is everyone needs a leader! No one has the guts to get up and stand for what they believe anymore. We want a life on cruise control and let the political parties do the worrying for us. This truly is a problem!
This mentality bugs me! I have said over and over that I don’t understand how people can complain, yet do nothing! We want to bitch, moan, complain and make all kinds of opinions fly around, yet tell a group of people to do something and we don’t want that responsibility! SHUT UP AMERICA! If you don’t want to do anything then shut up! I am sick and tired of hearing people whine and they do nothing! Get some guts people! Get a clue!
Our founders built us a foundation, the house need maintenance to remain stable! Let’s get to work and repair this old house before it is demolished!
Only people like you and me can get this country back! Let’s as the South would say… Git er done!
American Complainer!
Dear Complainer,
I see you are one who likes to speak about the troubles in America, but do nothing. You like to talk about what could be different in Washington, but do nothing. You might very well hate what is happening in America, yet you choose to do nothing.
Mr/Mrs Complainer, you bother me!
You long for change, yet flap your gums! You can’t stand people who disagree with you and will argue your pointless thoughts to death. You are a pointless waste of air that will never act! You are a social engine that likes to start something yet never finish it.
American Complainer, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!
How Blackberry changed me
This is a little unconventional, but hear me out. Just a few weeks, the new blackberry messenger was released. Brian, Hugh and myself were able to talk to each other (meet really) for the first time. Since that time we have pooled our abilities and created Apcovat.org. We are even able to post here on our phones (which is where I do all my posting).
The three of us have blackberries, use the linux operating system, share the same goals, and two of us have driven big rigs in the past and the other is getting his CDL. We all want our freedom back.
And I used to be such a shut-in.
I am in awe over the odds of three people from three different states getting together and making this site a reality in under 4 days. Add that to the ways we are alike and it boggles my mind.
But I’m sure there are many things we don’t have in common, we just haven’t realized most of them yet. Its obvious that each of us is unique and brings something special to the table.
Most people who visit this site share things in common with us. We are Americans. We are tired of being treated like servants (or serfs if you like the term better). We want a government that is by the people and for the people, in a literal sense . We want to feel we have control over our lives, but feel helpless to do so. We want “change” in some way.
We want to be “heard”. Not “herd”.
Washington obviously misunderstands us.
Let’s put all the things that make us different aside and be united in a cause that is more important than the petty bickering we get thrown into everyday when we watch the news. Everyone does not have to agree with me. But please let’s just agree that the government is not ours anymore, it has been taken away from us. Our differences make us unique, allow us new ways of seeing the world. It shouldn’t keep us from being in control of our own lives.
We can celebrate our differences and still change this country.
But we’ll see what the FCC decides about internet fairness today. I’m sure we have nothing to worry about (sarcasm key is broken I think)
To leave on a positive not, just think, Obama and I are both left handed, and use blackberries. There’s always some common ground. Please don’t tell me you have an i-phone though, that’s a deal breaker for me.
